The Lake

[edit]

Cool little article. I am curious as to whether "A crater lake once filled much of the caldera" refers to like 50 years ago or like 50 million years ago. Perhaps that could be elaborated on, at least in general terms? - House of Scandal (talk) 14:11, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hundreds of years ago. Yes, the article could be clearer; it was the 2400-year-ago eruption that created the caldera (after which it filled with water and then breached the caldera rim draining most the lake.) TaigaBridge (talk) 22:17, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just to wonder ...

Although I helped change some bits (e.g. the eruption has ended), I still need help for the part on airflights. Guanlongwucaii (talk) 09:24, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Guanlongwucaii[reply]

Oxygen isotopes

This paper discusses how oxygen isotope patterns may indicate the existence of multiple calderas and hydrothermal systems. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 15:08, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Okmok II in India

This article is quite vague, but it may refer to the great eruption. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 13:21, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've put the article on hold for seven days to allow folks to address the issues I've brought up. Feel free to contact me on my talk page, or here with any concerns, and let me know one of those places when the issues have been addressed. If I may suggest that you strike out, check mark, or otherwise mark the items I've detailed, that will make it possible for me to see what's been addressed, and you can keep track of what's been done and what still needs to be worked on. Substantial interesting article, GA on its way to FA it seems, offline and subscription sources accepted AGF, no copyvio obvious. The hook works for me. The image is licensed and attention-grabbing ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:59, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Gerda Arendt, I do not see a QPQ in this nomination, notwithstanding the fact that Jo-Jo Eumerus will need to provide two, as the emergency backlog mode is in operation. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 04:33, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
